2 species- G. argyrata (endemic to South China- Guangxi & Guangdong) & G. grossefibrosa (northern Vietnam & southwestern Guangxi)

Close Relatives:

Guihaia palms are small & beautiful understorey palms & require a lot of rainfall & humidity to grow to their full potential. Because of their slow growth rate, about a 1.5-2.0 on a 1-10 scale, they are probably not very good candidates for commercial use, even though they would be an excellent choice for small areas with little, or no, space for growth!
