Distribution: Approximately 10-12 species found throughout the islands of the Carribean & bordering continental areas such as Florida, Mexico, eastern Central America & northern South America
A.k.a.: Royal palms (all Roystonea palms), mountain cabbage palm (R. altissima)
Growing Comments: Roystonea palms are very impressive palms & look great planted as single individuals, in groups or rows. Easy to grow & all are relatively fast at about 6.0-6.5 on a 1-10 scale.
